If I could choose an ancient Olympic sport to compete in I would choose wrestling. I think I would do pretty good because I am in wrestling and have experience.
ReplyDeleteI would choose jumping. Cause jumping would be fun. I might be successful if i was trained to jump. I could jump far. Maybe a world record?
ReplyDeleteUm.. abby I don't think so!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIf I were in an Olympic sport I would be in the Javeline.
I think it would be really fun and I would be really good at it and I would set world records NOT abby! I have all the strength, stamina and power to be really really good at this sport!!!!
If i could choose an ancient sport i would choose to compete in it would be archery! I would choose archery because it would be really fun to compete in. The past week we did archery in gym and it was a blast!
ReplyDeleteI think I would be good at discus because I can throw things far and I have a pretty good aim for tossing disks. I don't think I would be a world champion at it tho.
ReplyDeleteI would compete in the javelin throw or the discuss. I am fairly strong, so I think I could have potential in this. I also think it would be fun to chuck things. I liked the idea of throwing the javelin at a target, but I'm not sure I could do that while riding a horse. The javelin throw on the nintendo made it look like fun. (I have set a world record on that :), but it would probably be way different in real life than on the game. haha.) Sounds like fun to me.
ReplyDeleteI would compete in the javelin throw. I think I would enjoy this and I could be pretty good at it. I would like the different challenges of throwing for distance and throwing at a target.
ReplyDeleteI would compete in the javelin. I would want to do this because it would be pretty challenging. I really think that it would be something fun to do!
ReplyDeleteI would compete in discus. I think discus would be a fun event to compete it. It would be fun to try to get a better distance everytime you thru. Discus would also be very challenging.

ReplyDeleteI think I would do running as my olympic event. And I know, it's lame. But hey, that's what I do. I guess I'm not that good at it, but who cares. I'm ok in it. Long distance that is, I suck at sprinting.
I would choose running also. I love to run so if it was a long distance running event I could definitely do it. I choose this because I like to run and some of the other sports aren't my thing.

If I could choose an Olympic sport I would pick running. I'm an ok long distance runner even though I hate it. I'm not very strong so I wouldn't want to do anything that you need big muscles for, so I think I would do running.
ReplyDeleteI would participate in running. I would choose running because that's the only one I find kinda fun to do in the olympics. But I guess if I would train for it, running wouldn't be bad.
ReplyDeleteIf i were to participate in an olympic sport it would be the pentathalon or the equestrian events. Im not very good at riding actually on a horse but im sure i could do pretty good riding behind it. Im sure the horse did most of the work anyways. But if i wanted to work a little harder i would be in the Pentathalon. I have tried throwing discus, long jumped, and ran during track. The javelin i would develop enough muscle. So i could definatly compete with those events but im not quite sure about the wrestling. Wrestling would come with enough practice. :)

ReplyDeleteI would pick chariot racing because I love to race It would make me famouse. I would even be able to support my hometown. my picing chariot racing I would also be able to learn about it to.

I think I would compete in running events. I think I would compete in running because out of those sports I feel I would be better at this. I believe I would be better because I feel I am an okay runner and in sports we have lots of condidtioning. Also I was in running club in elementary. I would also like to try javelin because it was a way of hunting and I think it would be challenging.
ReplyDeleteRyan E.
If I could chose a sport.. I would have to say archery. It's really fun! We did it in phy-ed, and I thought I pretty decent at it. I think with some practice, I could have it mastered. It requires some hand-eye corrdination which I feel I have a little of. Also, you don't need a partner or any fancy equipment. You can make your own bow and arrow if you want.

Very creative answers so far! Good job guys!
ReplyDeleteAn ancient olympic sport i would be in is Pankration. Cause it seems like it would be an interesting thing to be in. It would increase your fighting skills by a lot, either that or cripple and/or kill you. Pankration just seems like the right thing for me.
ReplyDeletei think that the best sport for me would have to be Pankration. because you get to hit people and i think i might like to try that! because the only rules where no biting or gouging an opponents eyes, nose or mouth with your fingertips.it sounds like it the best choice there is.
ReplyDeleteIf I competed in the Olymics I would be in the equestrian events. I'm not very strong, or fast, so it would be really easy for me to sit in a chariot and just control the horses. :P I would be successful because all i would need to know how to do is control the horse and say "Whoa boy." I could totally rock the Olympics. :)

ReplyDeleteIn the ancient Olymics I would pick chariot racing. I don't really think I would be any good at it... but still it would be crazy fun to ride behind horses running at full speed. Plus, it's just cool. Like in Ben Hur... the chariot race is the best part ;)
I think jumping would be the most fun olympic sport. You only have to run a short distance to get enough speed to jump. I think it would be easy and fun since I have long legs and I can't run long distances AT ALL! So...yeah.
ReplyDeleteI would do the equestrian events. I think I would be pretty good at it too, at least better than the other events anyways. I can't really run normal, or fight, or jump. I think it would be really fun to be in the chairot too. :) I don't know if I'd be any good but, I'm sure with practice I'd at least not tip the thing over!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be pretty fun to do horse racing. I'm not very good at any other sports and the equestrian events would be the eisiest for me. I really like horses too :).
ReplyDeleteThis is Coleman,
ReplyDeleteIf i was in the olympics i would throw discus. I can throw pretty well because i pitch in baseball. I have the stregnth to get it thrown decently far. It would be fun to be in the discus.
If i had to choose an olympic sport it would have to be boxing. Ever since the WII came out i like to think that im a pretty good boxer. Just a solid 1, 2 punch and he's KO! haha. idk. i kinda picked it also cuz nobody else did. but really, boxing is my thing.....
ReplyDeleteI'd probally end up doing archery.. Seeing as everything else actually uses physical strenght. Im not really good at any of them.. lol. I think it'd be fun.
ReplyDeleteAbove comment left by erik!
ReplyDeleteIf I was in the olympics I would do archery. I would do this because I'm pretty good at it but I could be better at it with practice. We did it in gym and my group probably would have won if we didn't have jason in it.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to chose a sport, I would most likely chose Javelin. It sounds interesting and challenging so I would definetly be up for that. It would be troublesome getting used to the Javelin wood though seeing as how long it is. I think it would fun once I got better at it and used to it.
ReplyDeleteSam Remington
if i had to chose a game it would have to be pankration. it seems i would do the best because there was no rules exccept for no gouging out peopls eyes and no bitting. it would be so funn!
ReplyDeleteIf I could participate in an olympic sport I would probably pick discus. I would pick this because I can throw really far and I would be good at it. It would be something I would most definitely enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI would probably pick pankration. it sounds pretty much like ufc fighting. i'd be good cuz i'm used to wrestling and boxing and this is pretty much a combination of the two.
ReplyDeleteI would pick running. It is about the only thing that I would be good at. I would only run short distance tho because I could never do long distance.
ReplyDeleteI love Brian's comment. Haha
